# Gameplay

The main character is located in the middle of the playing field. Enemies attack the character from 4 sides (right, left, top right, top left) and become faster and more powerful as the game session goes on. The character must fight off enemies for as long as possible, using basic attacks and special skills. The longer the player stands, the more [crystals ](/token.md)are earned. The player can use [healing potions](/empires-battle-world-of-steam/store/boosters/potions.md), [enhancement potions](/empires-battle-world-of-steam/store/boosters/potions.md) or [auxiliary items](/empires-battle-world-of-steam/store/boosters/auxiliary-items.md) to facilitate the battle during the session.

A game session with a standard character can last up to 20 minutes twice a day. The player can use only 3 characters for mining per day per account. However, they can use the rest of the characters for passive income. More powerful characters have more time per session.

> The goal is to survive as long as you can and get as many crystals as possible!

Enemies become stronger, faster and acquire new properties as the game progresses.

`💡` The stronger your character, the higher the chances of getting the desired [crystal](/token.md)! The most resilient characters who endure all hardships and humiliations from iron enemies will be rewarded! Harness your animal power and keep the defense until the last drop of blood `🔥`

The equipment of the character often needs repair after long battles; this also applies to the drill and weapons. The player must keep track of the condition of their equipment and maintain a good level of durability through repair kits so that they do not lose their properties and fall apart.

The characters also need to be cared about and make sure they are strong on the battlefield and do not die in the barracks from exhaustion.
