#### HERO STORY

Sam was Professor Mashivarius's pet raccoon and the first animal to find himself at the very epicenter of the Great Catastrophe. Together with his owner and the small steam-powered robot Argo, he was inside the laboratory at the very moment when the experiment with the first Flur Crystal spiraled out of control.

The wave of energy changed Sam forever. His mind crossed an invisible threshold, granting him the ability to think, speak, and make conscious decisions. At the same time, his aging slowed dramatically, allowing him to live for more than two centuries and become a living witness to the birth of a new world.

After the fall of humanity, Sam wandered the desolate lands for many years, watching as animals gradually gained intelligence while the small robot Argo, step by step, transformed the ruins of the old world into the mighty Steam Empire.

When it became clear that Argo's rule brought the beastfolk not freedom, but slavery, Sam began uniting those who were willing to fight for their future. Thus, the first Resistance cells were formed, and years later, the fortified City of Baobabs arose, becoming a symbol of hope for the free peoples.

Although all military and political decisions are made by the Resistance Council, Sam remains its spiritual leader and the keeper of humanity's memory. His voice is rarely the loudest, yet in the most difficult moments, it is always the decisive one.
