HERO STORY

Liam always looked as though he were on his way to a reception hosted by the aristocrats of the old world. An impeccably pressed tailcoat, a tall top hat, white gloves, and an ever-present smile—it was hard to believe that he was one of the most dangerous explosives experts in the entire Resistance. It was his fondness for such an unusual outfit that earned him the nickname Sir Bombardier among his friends. Over time, almost no one used his real name anymore.

Behind his impeccable manners was an obsessive chemist. Liam could spend days without leaving his laboratory, mixing gunpowder, minerals, oils, and rare reagents in search of ever more powerful explosive compounds. Every new explosion was not a failure to him, but another step toward perfection.

It was Liam who masterminded the boldest assassination attempt on Argo the Eternal during the annual Steam Machinery Festival in Technopolis. For many months, he worked on his greatest creation—a special explosive compound capable of piercing even the defenses of the Steam Emperor.

When the charge detonated, a devastating blast wave swept across the capital's central square. The Imperial platform was reduced to a heap of twisted metal, and for many years afterward, the people remembered the day they believed Argo's reign had come to an end.

But Argo survived.

Although his body suffered severe damage, the power of Flur kept him alive. After the assassination attempt, security throughout Technopolis was strengthened severalfold, and all public ceremonies became heavily guarded military events.

To this day, Liam, Sir Bombardier, is regarded as the one who came closer than anyone else to ending the reign of Argo the Eternal.
