# Worship of the Light

The Children of Light worship the Light as a force of truth, purification, life, and order. Their temples are not hidden underground or concealed in the mountains. They are built on high ground, along roads, in town squares, near hospitals, and beside fortress gates. The Light must be seen. The Light must call to all. The Light must remind everyone that darkness has no right to consider itself the master of this world.

At the center of every major temple stands the Altar of the First Ray. Above it, there is usually a round window, an opening in the dome, or a system of mirrors through which sunlight falls upon the altar at a certain time of day. In places where the sun is often hidden by clouds, sacred lamps, Flur lenses, or reflective plates of polished metal are used.

For ordinary worshippers, a service of the Light can be warm and beautiful: hymns, white candles, aid for the sick, blessings for children, the distribution of bread, and the treatment of wounds. But to the initiated, the Light is not about comfort. It is a demand. Every ray must reveal something. Every revelation must lead to a decision. And every decision must lead to action.
